About

My name is Selina Onyando. I am a Street and Daily Life Photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. Photography, to me, is a reflection of everyday experiences, offering a glimpse into the undiscovered or overlooked. I fell in love with visual art at a young age and have since been intrigued by the process of analog photography and film as a medium. My work incorporates a multimedia approach to storytelling, bridging traditional and digital methods in both photography and design.

My lens showcases the beauty in the mundane, exploring socio-cultural nuances, juxtapositions in nature and architecture, and the expression of youth. I hope to use my work to highlight Africa’s evolving culture, ignite a sense of nostalgia, and serve as a reference to a period in the continent’s history.
